Forget all about glamrock tendencies coz with just looking at the bandname Jet Set Satellite,most people start to think we´re dealing with tattoo´s,cigarettes,black hair and guitars hanging by the knees. These Canadians sounds more like a heavier version of H.I.M´s gothmetal,not as goth inspired as the Finnish lovemetal kings but certainly with the same mystique and dark undertone. JSS are experts at moody and slow heavy rock that will make you think of bands like Type O´Negative and Vast. Their debut "Blueprint" (Nettwerk records) was a minor success in 2001 with 4 top 30 singles,I haven´t heard that album so I won´t compare the new one with their debut. I am a big fan of huge sounding rock with a wall of guitars,strings and piano just the way JSS plays - in fact,this album could work as the soundtrack to a sequel of the vampire movie Lost Boys. Jet Set Satellite are mighty!
